...The End of America is the second title in the triad of shattered Western destiny, The End of the Westerner, The End of America, The German Disaster, which will open a possible scenario for Extinct Sapiens, or Self – Extinct Sapiens... ...Here, at the end of hic et nunc, we came to this Western - land (European and American), indolent, utopian, unrealistic, full of arrogance and ignorance, believing itself unique in history and irreplaceable in the world... ...This sad finality is the fulfillment of political prosperity and correctness, here, at the end, the free world is trumpeted, existing only in the empty and stupid imaginations of its leaders, and of its populations completely naive and unrealistic to the cruel and harsh realities of the world... ...Here, at the end of the historical road, are the great democratic conquests of its revolutions of the last centuries (mentioning here the American Revolution - 1776, the French Revolution - 1789, the Russian Revolution - 1917), for freedom, for justice, for fraternity, which they were extremely obsessed with the propaganda and historical thinking of the West... ...Here, in generalized chaos, are present now, in the historical hinc et nunculus, the abuses of his liberties, the anarchies from the abstract concept of freedom, his embarrassing exaggerations from the structures of science and consciousness... ...Here and now, the West has revealed itself in all its hidden evils of propaganda and manipulation, in all its shocking truths, beautified by surle and music, by movies full of carrots and sick imaginations, creating its own phobias and obsessions with anxieties , beyond any classic psychoanalytic analysis... ...Here, now, in the midst of the super-hot summer of 2020, the whole West, the whole of Abendland, is also through the Corona pathologies, and through the immense-economic falls, in the apogee of its indisputable, intractable and unsolvable blindness, decades of deafness and years of empty reading... Woe to the BLIND, DEAF AND NAKED! ...Here and now... ...Here and now is the END OF AMERICA, mocking real values, some created by him, but viewed and treated with indifference, rejection, and oblivion, including the alleged providential protection of his destiny, synthesized in God Bless America! ... ...Here and now, it is the crash of Western crashes, banking, financial, moral (actually immoral), economic, artistic... ...And this is what a Nonapocalyptologist, a Nonarmaghedo-nologist, a Nondezastrologist, a Noncalamitologist says, but who sees and lives live these immense Western unrealities, having also the real courage to write and describe these catastrophic Western collapses... Why so many of America's public university students are not graduating—and what to do about it The United States has long been a model for accessible, affordable education, as exemplified by the country's public universities. And yet less than 60 percent of the students entering American universities today are graduating. Why is this happening, and what can be done? Crossing the Finish Line provides the most detailed exploration ever of college completion at America's public universities. This groundbreaking book sheds light on such serious issues as dropout rates linked to race, gender, and socioeconomic status. Probing graduation rates at twenty-one flagship public universities and four statewide systems of public higher education, the authors focus on the progress of students in the entering class of 1999—from entry to graduation, transfer, or withdrawal. They examine the effects of parental education, family income, race and gender, high school grades, test scores, financial aid, and characteristics of universities attended (especially their selectivity). The conclusions are compelling: minority students and students from poor families have markedly lower graduation rates—and take longer to earn degrees—even when other variables are taken into account. Noting the strong performance of transfer students and the effects of financial constraints on student retention, the authors call for improved transfer and financial aid policies, and suggest ways of improving the sorting processes that match students to institutions. An outstanding combination of evidence and analysis, Crossing the Finish Line should be read by everyone who cares about the nation's higher education system.
