Now when we are considering the possibility of air raids and of fires started by incendiary bombs, our Fire Department assumes even greater importance than usual and we must be alert to the needs of this branch of our defense organization. The Committee for this Department must work closely with the Fire Chief so as to be familiar with the personnel and equip ment and keep the council informed of their requirements.
