Antonio Alatorre reunió, en 1993, trece artículos en los que expone su manera de ver la literatura y de entender y ejercer la crítica literaria. De 1993 a 2010, Alatorre añadió algunas noticias más, pulió una que otra idea (pocas) y corrigió poquísimas cosillas de estilo.
