At the End of an Age isa deeply informed and rewarding reflection on the nature of historical and scientific knowledge. Of extraordinary philosophical, religious, and historical scope, it is the product of a great historian's lifetime of thought on the subject of his discipline and the human condition. While running counter to most of the accepted ideas and doctrines of our time, it offers a compelling framework for understanding history, science, and man's capacity for self-knowledge. In this work, John Lukacs describes how we in the Western world have now been living through the ending of an entire historical age that began in Western Europe about five hundred years ago. Unlike people during the ending of the Middle Ages or the Roman empire, we can know where we are. But how and what is it that we know? In John Lukacs's view, there is no science apart from scientists, and all of "Science," including our view of the universe, is a human creation, imagined and defined by fallible human beings in a historical continuum. This radical and reactionary assertion--in its way a summa ofthe author's thinking, expressed here and there in many of his previous twenty-odd books--leads to his fundamental assertion that, contrary to all existing cosmological doctrines and theories, it is this earth which is the very center of the universe--the only universe we know and can know.

There is a small groundswell of thinking in the evangelical church that we may not have achieved a proper biblical understanding of end-times events. It is important for us to return to a careful study of these things, because the time is near. In The Sign of the End of the Age: What Jesus Taught about the Future in Matthew 24, author Paul Kalbach helps you discoveror rediscoverthe Olivet Discourse, the Lords clear road map that all other prophetic Scriptures must reckon with. To understand the discourse, we must answer one critical question: what is Matthew 24 aboutthe future program for Israel or the end of the age events for all believers, including the church? Kalbach presents extensive arguments that show a different timing and sequence of events than is usually taught by proponents of the pretribulation rapture position. His in-depth study adheres to a most literal interpretation method. The Sign of the End of the Age seeks to bring a deeper understanding of the end-times period, vital in a world that shows every sign that this time is near.

'Essays at the End of the Age' examines the rise and fall of nihilism in the context of the cycles of intellectual history and suggests ways to go beyond it. The modern era began with Descartes and the attempt to use the 'cogito' to obtain a clear understanding of transcendent being. Unfortunately, the 'cogito' led to nothingness through its resistance to constructs of Òbeing. Then Kant attempted to synthesize nothingness with being in the transcendental aesthetic, with mixed results. Finally, Nietzsche used the power of nothingness itself (or nihilism) to negate any concept of being for the sake of the will to power. But nihilism led to the same nothingness as the 'cogito' did, since nihilism, too, was based on resistance. The limitations of the superman became evident through the art and culture that reflected his negative ideal of absolute resistance to Òthe good--and yet nihilism also indicates the end of philosophy and its attempt to describe transcendent value and the good of happiness. The superman is dead, and philosophy appears to be dead as well. The question now is whether it is possible to go beyond nihilism and find the identity, purpose, and meaning that the human spirit craves. 'Essays at the End of the Age' uses illustrations from literature, music, science, and sacred texts to show why the superman failed to obtain happiness, and to point the way to a new mode of being.

“Bongiovanni’s message should be heeded, especially in Brussels, Berlin and Paris” – John Peet, Political Editor, The Economist Francesco Bongiovanni returns with a sequel to The Decline and the Fall of Europe, a book Guardian journalist Nils Pratley labelled 'a wake-up call for the twenty-first century'. Since 2012 Europe has been confronted with new, unexpected game-changing challenges such as the refugee crisis and its human tsunami, the surprise of Brexit and the explosion of 'alternative' politics. Europeans have finally come to realize that the open-societies that they have been comfortably living in are under threat and fragmenting, leaving their survival uncertain. Minorities are falling prey to an Islamist ideology that conveys values and customs diametrically opposed to European ones. Terrorist acts have become the 'new normal', part of daily life. The North-South cleavage brought about by the eurozone crisis is now completed by a deep East-West cleavage born from the refugee crisis. Against this backdrop, a Germany that is not all that it seems has become Europe’s de-facto ruler, but is unfit to lead, while Trump’s America cannot be counted on as it once used to be, forcing Europe to fend for itself. A beacon of stability and prosperity in the past, a naive and unprepared Europe, facing new and terrifying challenges is today more than ever torn apart, increasingly unstable and adrift.

The Christian, according to the apostle Paul, lives between two times. The end is already present with Christ's death and resurrection, but the end is yet to come with his second appearing. Following the seminal work of Oscar Cullmann, Marvin Pate argues that this "already/not yet" eschatological tension lies at the heart of all writings of the apostle Paul and is, in fact, the key to understanding them. Pate traces the concept of "already/not yet" back to its Jewish roots and shows with exceptional clarity how Paul's teachings on God, Christ, human beings, salvation, the Holy Spirit, the church society, and the last things can be successfully placed within this "already/not yet" framework. In his analysis, Pate exegetes numerous key passages in the Pauline letters.

In the first part of 'Apocalypse, Remote Vision' we have observed the points that deal with what is related to the 'Great Tribulation' that our world will live and even the elect and faithful (so that with this many may be perfected, and likewise many other lukewarm awaken ). I have told you that the basis of these two "end-world" books is intuition, premonition, visions, revelations, dreams, extrasensory perception and remote viewing regarding things to come, and I have chosen many topics that I have been able to compare and link with each other. There are other popular people who have seen remarkable things, but some of them are not the subject that I am dealing with here at the moment, or they are not entirely clear. There are others from which data can be taken with tweezers, as is the case of Mrs. 'Baba Vanga', a Bulgarian citizen who predicted many things in her time. She is said to have given specific dates for future events, but the times and sequences attributed to the events predicted by her are exaggerated and mixed up in their temporal location. Baba Vanga would have died on August 11, 1996, at the age of 85, and the only allusion that seems coherent that he gave for just after his death is the one that defines that by 2018 the nation of China would become the new power world. Even so, we will see that this will not be exactly the case, despite the fact that it is now the global economic power - and perhaps the second or third military power on our planet. If we remove the dates that he is supposed to have mentioned, and simply refer to his warnings, then we do have logical citations and which coincide with a host of other prophecies. Vanga is said to have prophesied that after China became the world power, the subsequent thing would be that the Earth's orbit would change slightly; I would also have argued that then Europe would have serious demographic problems, that hunger would slowly become a problem for humanity, that there would be polar melting and strong sea level rise, and the like. It is also said that he warned that later the world economy would improve remarkably while in Europe the Muslims dominate. We already know that this has to do with the new currency and the Islamic invasion, but Vanga adds something strange...

God is king, judge, and redeemer of heaven and earth. As king, God’s primary goal is the complete and eternal reunification of his kingdom. Reunification of his kingdom will come when he has destroyed his enemies: Satan and all of the people aligned with him. In Matthew 13:24-50, Jesus says that the people aligned with Satan will be destroyed at the end of the age in which we live. The people who are righteous – who are what they are required to be and do what they are required to do – will go into the next age. The people who are unrighteous – who are not what they are required to be and do not do what they are required to do – will not go into the next age. The path they follow will end in death. As judge, God must do what is just (Genesis 18:25; 1 Peter 2:23). Before the end of the age, God will test us and weigh our hearts to determine if we are righteous. At the end of the age God will judge and determine who may enter the thousand year age of his kingdom and who must be destroyed. As redeemer, his goal is to save as many people as possible. Before the end of the age God will warn us that the end is approaching and call us to prepare. His tests help us prepare and work as signs to warn us that we are approaching the end of the age. These are signs we may see long before the beast, false prophet, etc. so that we can be prepared when those things happen. Prepare for the End of the Age will share that there will be an end of this age how to prepare for the end of the age what we are required to be to survive the end of the age what we are required to do to survive the end of the age how to become what we are required to be how to do what we are required to do how God will determine if we are what we are required to be signs of the end of this age

Worship and the End of the Age' is a book to establish the believer in a foundational understanding of worship and the battle the body of Christ will face at the end of the age. We must embrace a balanced view of the priesthood of all believers. A balanced view includes both the inward power of Christ produced through worship and an outward expression of that life demonstrated through good works. Darren presents a unique way of using the book of Revelation for understanding worship. The approach helps to establish the 'kingdom of priests' and prepare the church for the idols we must overcome in regards to the end of the age.
