This is a book for anyone wondering if theres more to life. This book is for anyone whos ever been turned off by religion or church. This book is for anyone whos ever been made to feel like they arent enough. Exile is a memoir of sorts, but it is more so meant to be a conversation starter for the reader. This book is an invitation to ask yourself hard questions. It is about experiencing a relationship with Jesus. It is about seeing life through a new perspective. This book is not written by an expert, but it is written by a guy simply sharing his experiences. Stories of failure, abuse, depression, success, fear, pain, loss, mistakes, hope, dreams, culture, traveling and more are recounted. Fans of Blue Like Jazz will appreciate the faith journey storytelling approach. Anthony spent most of his life feeling like an exile feeling as if he had no hope or didnt belong even after trying to check all the boxes of what he thought made him a good Christian. This is a story of seeking to experience faith as real. This is a story about how Jesus came into Anthonys life and changed everything. This book is an invitation to allow Jesus to change everything for you, too.

That Faulkner was a “liar” not just in his writing but also in his life has troubled many critics. They have explained his numerous “false stories,” particularly those about military honors he actually never earned and war wounds he never sustained, with psychopathological imposture-theories. The drawback of this approach is that it reduces and oversimplifies the complex psychological and aesthetic phenomenon of Faulkner's role-playing. Instead, this critical study by one of the most acclaimed international Faulkner scholars takes its cue from Nietzsche's concept of “truth as a mobile army of metaphors” and from Ricoeur's dynamic view of metaphor and treats the wearing of masks not as an ontological issue but as a matter of discourse. Hönnighausen examines Faulkner's interviews and photographs for the fictions they perpetuate. Such Faulknerian role-playing he interprets as a mode of organizing experience and relates it to the crafting of the artist's various personae in his works. Mining metaphor as well as modern theories on social role-playing, Hönnighausen examines unexplored aspects of image creation and image reception in such major Faulkner novels as The Sound and the Fury, Light in August, A Fable, and Absalom, Absalom!

I hope the poems in this book bring smile, a thought, or an understanding about life in more ways than one. My third book will be a novel and is already in the making and, hopefully, will be out sometime in 2018. The title is complete but will not be revealed until a later time. If you like reading trilogies, I truly hope you enjoy reading this book of poems. My wife, Orelia (Cookie), is, and will always be, my inspiration. And I know that she will be forever grateful for many of the poems included in this book. I also hope you will enjoy reading this book of poems.

In her debut story collection DEER, Susan Tepper takes us into the forest of her imagination, shining a light on a pack of off-kilter characters caught in unusual and compelling circumstances. Tepper is one of the most original voices in fiction I've heard in quite a while. While reading her loopy-beautiful dark narratives, I was reminded of the first time I read Denis Johnson. Yes, she 's that good. This is a writer to watch! - Jamie Cat Callan, The Writer's Toolbox & French Women Don't Sleep Alone

Sy Hakim is an American Artist and Poet who has lived much of his life in Italy. This accounts for the many classical allusions one find in his works, both art and poetry. In addition to publication in various magazines and journals, he has published collections of poems (From the Cave-2007) and two plays. His first collection of poems was published in 1970, the same year of his first one person art show in Italy. He exhibits oils, woodblock prints and relief sculptures. As an exhibiting artist, his works have been shown and collected in Europe, Asia and the United States. Currently he is most active/exhibiting with the American Color Print Society, and The Plastic Club. Currently living with his wife, Odetta, in Philadelphia, PA. he has expanded his travels across America and his deepened experiences and awareness. Both poems and the art works are thematic with a strong relationship between the works. There is a shared pictorial approach: strong bold colors paralleling bold rhythmic explorations: Sy Hakim is a humanist, interested ina diverse civility and the ethic search into the story of myriad civilizations and religionshe fulfills the obligations of his subject and formsa validity combined to sustain his expressionistic (humanistic and poetic) concept [S. Maugeri, Italian critic] His artistic-poetic production, the work, the essence, hopefully reveals in its variation of themes, and symbolic- expressionistic quality, a life reverence: the ambiguity of life and the imminence of time.
