This fourth novel of Boothby's Dr. Nikola series reveals that Nikola has discovered all of the facts necessary to extend a human being's life. He has studied science and magic secrets of Tibetan monks. He explains: "It has been a long and tedious search, but such labour only makes success the sweeter. The machinery is now prepared; all that remains is to fit the various parts together. In six months' time, if all goes well, I will have a man walking upon this earth who, under certain conditions, shall live a thousand years.

Other popular stories by him are "A Prince of Swindlers", which tells the story of a thief, and "Uncle Joe's Legacy and Other Stories", which is a collection of ghost stories. All in all, Guy Boothby left the world a colourful and rich literary legacy.

"In Glow Kids, Dr. Nicholas Kardaras will examine how technology-- more specifically, age-inappropriate screen tech, with all of its glowing ubiquity-- has profoundly affected the brains of an entire generation. Brain imaging research is showing that stimulating glowing screens are as dopaminergic (dopamine activating) to the brain's pleasure center as sex. And a growing mountain of clinical research correlates screen tech with disorders like ADHD, addiction, anxiety, depression, increased aggression, and even psychosis. Most shocking of all, recent brain imaging studies conclusively show that excessive screen exposure can neurologically damage a young person's developing brain in the same way that cocaine addiction can"--

The truth about Elvis’s death from the doctor who spent eleven years as “the King’s” personal physician, father-figure, and confidant - "Dr. Nick." Dr. Nichopoulos spent a decade with Elvis on the road and at Graceland, trying to maintain the precarious health of one of the world’s greatest entertainers. But on August 16, 1977, he found himself in the ambulance with Elvis on that fateful last trip to the ER. He signed the death certificate. From that day forward, Dr. Nick became the focus of a media witch hunt that threatened his life and all but destroyed his professional reputation. Now, for the first time, Dr. Nick reveals the true story behind Elvis’s drug use and final days—not the version formed by years of tabloid journalism and gross speculation. Put aside what you’ve learned about Elvis’s final days and get ready to understand for the first time the inner workings of “the king of rock n’ roll.”

This report was prepared as an independent assessment of the coastal physical processes occurring along Brevard County, Florida. The study was conducted for the U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division, in its involvement with the lawsuit Applegate et al. versus the United States of America. Long-term regional beach change is evaluated by analysis of survey data on shoreline position, bathymetry, and beach profiles taken through time. In addition, analysis is specifically made for the properties of two test plaintiffs selected by the Court. Estimates of beach and dune erosion, if any, are calculated for the two test plaintiffs from date of purchase of the properties. Erosion of the beaches and dunes, principally attributed to storms, was estimated at the properties of the two test plaintiffs by compiling storm data and calculating beach and dune change with a numerical model.
