It is estimated that the full authorized level of 10 associates will be in training early in fiscal year 1972. This slow growth has been a reflection of the high standards of selection rather than any lack of applicants. The straited condition of academic research has motivated a significant increase of interest in the program even though entry-ou-duty dates are projected a year in advance.
