This book documents an incredible phenomenon in The Peshitta New Testament , which was written in the language of Jesus and his countrymen of 1st century Israel. Aramaic was used in Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ" to make the film as realistic and accurate as possible. This discovery of long Gospel messages in the form of "Bible Codes" will surprise and thrill the reader with the power and inspiration of the words of the Codemaker - "God".Long codes & an exhaustive search for Divine Name codes give very compelling evidence that The Aramaic Peshitta NT is the Divinely authored original behind the Greek NT. The codes and nine other comprehensive analyses take up 124 pages. Black and white graphics are used throughout the book, with many illustrations of codes in large Hebrew letters with English translations, graphs, charts and art work.B&W paper

This is a rare New Testament (3rd edition) from the Aramaic language of Jesus and his countrymen of 1st century Israel in a prose English translation . Aramaic was used in Mel Gibson's film "The Passion of the Christ" to make the film as realistic and accurate as possible. This New Testament will surprise and thrill the reader with its power and inspiration coming from the words of "Eeshu" (Pronunciation of 'Jesus' in ancient Aramaic) as He originally spoke them, in a literal yet idiomatic English rendering. Much evidence is presented in notes demonstrating very powerfully that The Peshitta Aramaic NT is the original behind The Greek NT. There are many graphics and even photos from Dead Sea Scrolls to illustrate an Aramaic verse and how a reading was interpreted by a Greek translating the text, making this a unique scholarly study Bible in elegant Lucida Calligraphy font.539 pages 6x9" Black & White;hardbound.

This is the 7th edition of The Original Aramaic Peshitta New Testament in Plain English. Aramaic was the language of the Jewish people in Israel and throughout the Middle East and in Europe from the time of their captivity in Babylon in the 6th century BC and afterward until the Muslim conquests of the 7th century AD. The Peshitta is the original Aramaic New Testament, as the author demonstrates in the hundreds of notes throughout this edition, from Matthew to Revelation, showing how the Greek NT is a translation of the Peshitta's Aramaic readings, and sometimes a mistranslation, or several Greek translations resulted from one Aramaic reading. The original NT was written by Jewish men, for the most part, to Jewish converts of Yeshua The Messiah who were the first and founding members of the churches Paul The Apostle evangelized throughout the Roman world of the 1st century. Paul always went to the synagogues in any city or town and preached Yeshua The Messiah as The Son of God and THE LORD. 8x11 paperback

A revelatory exploration of the Jewish roots of the Last Supper that seeks to understand exactly what happened at Jesus’ final Passover. “Clear, profound and practical—you do not want to miss this book.”—Dr. Scott Hahn, author of The Lamb’s Supper and The Fourth Cup Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist shines fresh light on the Last Supper by looking at it through Jewish eyes. Using his in-depth knowledge of the Bible and ancient Judaism, Dr. Brant Pitre answers questions such as: What was the Passover like at the time of Jesus? What were the Jewish hopes for the Messiah? What was Jesus’ purpose in instituting the Eucharist during the feast of Passover? And, most important of all, what did Jesus mean when he said, “This is my body… This is my blood”? To answer these questions, Pitre explores ancient Jewish beliefs about the Passover of the Messiah, the miraculous Manna from heaven, and the mysterious Bread of the Presence. As he shows, these three keys—the Passover, the Manna, and the Bread of the Presence—have the power to unlock the original meaning of the Eucharistic words of Jesus. Along the way, Pitre also explains how Jesus united the Last Supper to his death on Good Friday and his Resurrection on Easter Sunday. Inspiring and informative, Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist is a groundbreaking work that is sure to illuminate one of the greatest mysteries of the Christian faith: the mystery of Jesus’ presence in “the breaking of the bread.”

This is a prose English and very literal translation of the first five books of the Old Testament (The Torah). Aramaic was the language of Jesus and of 1st century Israel. The Peshitta Bible is the world's first entire Christian Bible. The Peshitta Old Testament is itself a translation of the Hebrew Bible completed in the 1st century AD, according to the available evidence. No Peshitta scholar places the Peshitta OT later than the 2nd century AD. As such, it gives an early look at the state of the Hebrew Bible at that time, since Aramaic and Hebrew are sister Semitic languages and about as close to each other as any two languages can be, sharing the same alphabet, writing, grammar, much vocabulary and even similar pronunciation of many words. Some of the original Old Testament is Aramaic, such as Daniel chapters 2 through 7 inclusive, and Ezra 4 through much of 7. It even appears in a verse of Genesis 31 and one verse in Jeremiah 10:11. 228 pages, hardback.
