Daria is a wife. A mother. A petty criminal. And a victim of abuse. After suffering years of mistreatment at the hands of her partner, Ray, she decides it’s time to make her escape. While Ray is on a boys’ trip to Las Vegas, she packs up her belongings and her son and leaves the USA for a fresh start in Canada. When she arrives, she uses her powers of manipulation and her feminine wiles to secure a job in the Canadian government. She also begins to dabble in moonshining, blackmail, and espionage for a shady Cuban crime group. For a while, it seems like she has everything under control—until one of her colleagues catches on to her tricks, seemingly hell-bent on putting a stop to her illegal activities. And then there’s that black, unmarked car following her around everywhere she goes . . . Will Daria be defeated by the forces acting against her? Or will she use her skills in deception to rise above?

About the Book More Than Free: Exposing the Lies Hidden in History is a unique look at 4000 years of history through the eyes of the author’s family tree. This text builds the case for a new world view whose foundation is that of truth and morality never described in another publication. It shows us that our history is not what we’ve been taught and indoctrinated to believe. In fact, we are supposed to believe that we don’t know where we came from and who our ancient forefathers and mothers really were. People are hungry for the truth, and this book delivers plenty of it. We have to ask ourselves why? Why was our history disconnected to anything that was taught to us in high school and college? What is the root cause of hiding and obfuscating our past? And who did these things? How did the settlement of Europe happen, and where did these people originate? Why did they migrate, and who expelled or chased them? How did America become the land of exceptional people with a unique and free perspective? Where did the idea of personal freedoms originate, and how did the people of America regather in this land? This book explores all of these questions, and upon exhaustive examination, research, and sagacity, a mind open to connecting the dots has found and documented the answers. About the Author James Jensen was born in Rapid city, South Dakota. He currently resides in Weatherford, Texas where he runs a small hay farm. He is also an archer, upland game hunter, a researcher, and a writer. Jensen has four children and eight grandchildren. He is retired from the practice of landscape architecture in a global engineering and environmental consulting business focusing on utility-scale electrical projects. Jensen achieved technical writing expertise in preparing dozens of Environmental Impact Statements and related public-review documents.

Upon his return from India, Alexander the Great travelled to the Persian royal city of Pasargadae to pay homage at the tomb of King Cyrus, founder of the Achaemenid Persian Empire, whom he admired greatly. Disgusted to find Cyrus’ tomb desecrated and looted, the Macedonian king had the tomb guards tortured, the Persian provincial governor executed and the tomb refurbished. This episode involving Cyrus’ tomb serves as one of many case studies in Alexander’s relationship with Persia. At times Alexander would behave pragmatically, sparing his defeated enemies and adopting Persian customs. Sisygambis, the mother of Persian King Darius III, allegedly came to view Alexander as a son and starved herself at the news of his demise. On other occasions he did not shy away from destruction (famously torching the palace at Persepolis) and cruelty, earning himself the nickname ‘the accursed’. This conflicting nature gives Alexander a complex legacy in the Persian world. Joseph Stiles explores Alexander the Great’s fascinating relationship with his ‘spear-won’ empire, disentangling the motives and influences behind his policies and actions as ‘King of Asia’.
