This is how the story begins, it was a Wednesday night and I went to a dance every Wednesday night at the P.S. Pavilion; a nice big dance hall like the big ones we had in Chicago, with the big bands. I felt like I was about 18 years old and I danced every dance. I had a few drinks and I left the dance about 11 :00 P.M. I got to bed about 11:45 p.m. I woke up about 5 a.m the next morning. I couldn't breathe, I was having a tough time breathing; so I called 911. I knew I was in some kind of trouble so I took my pajamas off, put on shorts and with that I put my medicare card and blue cross/blue shield card, and my driver's license in my pocket I waited out side. It seemed like an hour but it was probably only a few minutes, before the fire dept arrived with their wagon. I was standing in the driveway, waiting for them to arrive. I said, "I'm having a hard time breathing would you please give me some oxygen." They kept asking, what's your name, . . .where do you live? I kept asking them to please give me some oxygen. I was having a tough time breathing.

I only wish that I knew then what I know now!! How many times have you echoed those words? "WARRIORS" describes the 30 year journey which I have had the privilege of taking, serving in the institution which Jesus shed His blood over and now His tears-namely THE CHURCH. The realism which I have gained is much more than an epic of glory and success, but reveals what I have learned through the "school of hard knocks". This trilogy on WARFARE IN THE CHURCH, deals with preventing church division and strife, secondly, walking through church division when it takes place, and thirdly, picking up the pieces and starting over after the storm has subsided. I examine such topics as "Leadership styles that don't work, Keeping everyone happy and my sanity also, Preaching when half the body wants you fired, How do I forgive when I want to kill? Protecting my family from the church wolves, Staying married to the church and my wife? And, Don't dump your baggage on me!" I deal with these most frequently asked questions by pastors: "Where division begins, The issue of loyalty and leadership, When there is "another spirit" in the house, Handling rejection, Dealing with church splits, Keeping the faith in difficult times, Questions to ask someone leaving your church, How not to make the same mistake twice, Learning to laugh again, How Jesus can resurrect your dreams again, and The rising of "THE THIRD DAY CHURCH." It is my heart felt prayer that my vision for this book helps to prevent church strife and brings healing to those in the midst of the storm. And for those of you who feel as if your joy for ministry has been stolen, may you find hope to dream and build again!!!! Pastor Chuck

Mr. Hatfield with all of his years of experience in marriage, parenting, family, missions and in the Church pulls no punches in calling Christ's Bride to return to His Truth (God's revealed Law-Word) regarding discipleship (men and women of faith and grace) in Manhood and Womanhood, outrageously successful spousal relations, parenting with training in romance, sexual satisfaction, love and marriage! He is calling all believers, especially men, to confession and repentance and to receive, understand and apply these Truths in the Power of the Holy Spirit as the only acceptable response in which God will revive and reform the Family and the Church in the 21st Century! Not for the weak-kneed, weak-minded or humanistically influenced, this is for Christ's Bride as we prepare for and anticipate His return! These applications of God's revealed Law-Word and His uncommon common sense in the lives of America's postmodern Christian culture and especially the promise of duplicating of these successes for love and marriage in our children, is exciting and challenging to the point of precedent setting magnitudes. The reader will experience riveting and exciting challenges to the status quo of our present day Christian culture. "Based on interviews with more than 1000 adults nationwide, the survey discovered that less than one out of every five adults believes that children under the age of 13 are being "superbly" or "pretty well" prepared for life emotionally, physically, spiritually, intellectually or physically. Fewer than one out of every twenty adults believes that America's youngsters are receiving above average preparation in all five of those areas of life." Americans Agree: "Kids Are Not Being Prepared for Life," The Barna Group-October 26, 2004 The couples, who discover the answers to the moral morass of our postmodern Christian culture, are those who know that the future of their children is in jeopardy and that we are in a war for the control of that future! Sadly, the statistics of broken homes, divorces, adultery, domestic violence, drugs and promiscuity - to mention only some of the ills of our culture - are almost equally divided between "Christian" families and non-Christian families. This is unacceptable as a comparison and must change. Consequently, fathers and mothers of faith and grace are those - who are and or who will experience - God's promise of victory over these fruits of our fallen nature and live a marriage experience that captures the best of God's gifts of love, sex and romance in marriage. Daddy's Little Girl and Mommy's Little Boy brings us clear evidence of just how America's Christian couples can have this victory in their marriage and how to duplicate this success in their sons and daughters.

Fathers, how many times on a weekly basis do you hear the expression from your children: "Daddy Look?" Have you ever wondered why they want you to look so badly? Do you know how much power exists in Daddy's Look? If you haven't been looking at them, what have you been looking at? What happens when Daddies don't look? Are there dangers in not looking? Is is too late to look? Authors Battle, Sanders and Watts tackle these questions and more in this tremendous book destined to change the lives of all who read it and truly want to make a difference in their children's lives. "This is a great book. Daddy Look offers a focused approach to becoming a godly father. Using the story of "Daddy Look," it summarizes these lessons in five key principles: -Being a Godly Man -Being a Man of Character -Being a Teacher -Being a Provider -Being a Protector "This book is clearly written with Christian fathers as a target audience; however, men without a Christian background would still glean much from the principles in the book. I whole-heartedly recommend this book. It's a great read, and I'm very proud that my Pastor is one of its authors." -Grover Johnson, Single Dad "This book will both challenge and provoke change in any father who takes the time to read it and then makes a commitment to apply it. I truly wish this book was around when I was raising my two children as a sole provider and self-sufficient single Mom" -Dr. Anita Latin-Byrdsong - Founder, OVL Foundation A father with the responsibility of raising up a child and being a role model to look up to... "I felt like I failed recently while my 11 year old daughter asked me if I love her. It was a gut shot that caused me to stop everything and have a heart felt talk with her. I realize now that she has been saying "DaddyLook!" but in many different ways. My daughter and I have a new found relationship that feels much different than before. But had I listened to her cries sooner this could have been avoided and she could have detoured from the feelings of being lonely and unloved. The book Daddy Look gives a great understanding on the complications of parenting and how to avoid or deal with these situations in life. -Michael Pine www.daddylookbook.com
