Crocheting with wire is a little different from using thread or yarn and does take practice getting used to. If a project does not turn out to be perfect the first time you will soon learn that wire can be very forgiving as you can pinch the loops together with your fingertips where it looks untidy, once the item has been completed. The best way to get started is by practicing to make a chain – you will quickly learn that the wire takes on the shape of the stitch, unlike yarn that is easy to manipulate, so you need to pull the wire through the loop of the chain carefully the first time round. The instructions in this book are simple to follow and you will find it fun trying some of them out.

Crocheting, which is the age-old craft of hooking yarn through a loop in different ways to form patterns and fabric is so simple to do, once you have grasped the concept. Watching someone crocheting can look extremely complicated if you have no clue what they are actually doing. Sadly this craft is thought of as a way to keep the elderly industriously occupied. Something they do when they while away the time sitting in a rocking chair. This is definitely not the case. Men, women and children of all ages enjoy the challenge of this craft, as it is becoming a trend again in the fashion world.
