The Book of James says it best; “Every good and every perfect gift comes fromabove, and cometh down from the Father of Lights.” The gifts from above are always good and perfect, or in other words incorruptible. There are corrupted treasures on earth that many do strive for. The treasures on earth are those that moths and rust corrupt or thieves take and steal. Those are not the treasures we are going to write about here. The Lord said; “Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and all things (perfect gifts) will be added (given) unto you.” We seek first the eternal things above and get earthly treasures too; seek only earthly treasures and those are the only things you will receive.

A Thickness of Particulars: The Poetry of Anthony Hecht is the first book-length study of one of the great formal poets of the later twentieth century (1923-2004). Making use of Hecht's correspondence, which the author edited, it situates Hecht's writings in the context of pre- and post-World-War II verse, including poetry written by W. H. Auden, Elizabeth Bishop, Robert Lowell, James Merrill, and Richard Wilbur. In nine chapters, the book ranges over Hecht's full career, with special emphasis placed on the effects of the war on his memory; Hecht participated in the final push by the Allied troops in Europe and was involved in the liberation of the Flossenburg Concentration Camp. The study explores the important place Venice and Italy occupied in his imagination as well as the significance of the visual and dramatic arts and music more generally. Chapters are devoted to analyzing celebrated individual poems, such as "The Book of Yolek" and "The Venetian Vespers" ; the making of particular volumes, as in the case of the Pulitzer-Prize-winning "The Hard Hours"; the poet's mid-career turn toward writing dramatic monologues and longer narrative poems ("Green, An Epistle," "The Grapes," and "See Naples and Die") and ekphrases; the inspiring use he made of Shakespeare, especially in "A Love for Four Voices," his delightful riff on "A Midsummer Night's Dream"; and his collaboration with the artist Leonard Baskin in the "Presumptions of Death" series from "Flight Among the Tombs." The book seeks to unfold the itinerary of a highly civilized mind brooding, with wit, over the dark landscape of the later twentieth century in poems of unrivalled beauty.

School Corruption: Betrayal of Children and the Public Trust is an exposé of corruption in public schools and related agencies. It shatters the complacency and silence of the pervasive corruption found in school districts throughout the Nation. Dr. Armand A. Fusco provides a detailed look at the rationale for the three levels of corrupt acts: cheating and deceit, waste and mismanagement, and fraud and stealing. Find out how and where shameful and deplorable corrupt acts have been committed in each state and school district as Fusco delves into some tough questions: Why does corruption and 'political correctness" lead to poor student achievement, disgraceful school outcomes, and failing schools? How does inept school governance allow corruption to flourish with such ease? What is the most important question that is never asked of an applicant for superintendent of schools? The harsh reality is that corruption has become a natural part of the educational landscape, but it's hidden from view by walls of denial and self-protection. Only by accepting the challenge of a new beginning can trust be restored so that the devastating impact of corrupt acts on the education of children, and the violation of the public trust, will become a thing of the past.

Many people don’t understand how and why they make financial decisions. Most people believe the financial decisions they make today are separate from the spiritual results tomorrow. There is no spiritual savings account, checking account, or payment plan. Financial decision making often reflects the condition of the heart, mind, and soul. Most people believe in financial shortcuts. They believe they can ‘hit the jackpot,’ ‘strike oil,’ ‘hit the mother lode,’ and that ‘our ship has come in.’ All those expressions represent an immediate expectation of wealth and prosperity. Many people believe that once wealth and prosperity are received, then satisfaction, happiness, and peace soon follow. Our daily decision-making can impact our spiritual savings. We should consider: What are our resources? Where does the Lord fit into our financial planning? How do I measure success? In Treasure in Heaven: Live, Love, and Prosper, the author explores how people make decisions. This book encourages people to engage in vertical communication with the Lord to improve the financial results in their lives. It encourages self-examination and the creation of a new definition of success and wealth.
