The story is based on the adventure of Kerry and Omar on their road to winning a treasure competition that had been advertised by the local newspaper. Kerry still angry with herself does not want to do anything, but her father urges her to accompany him as he takes the dog to the top of the hill. At the top of the hill, their dog, Barker, runs off to a muddy hole and starts digging. What the dog finds is what both Kerry and Omar have been wishing to find all along.
