The Coordination of existing and needed transportation services (CENTS) project was planned by the Human Services Interagency Committee to improve transportation services in three rural Texas counties in a cost-effective way and to demonstrate the coordination and cooperation among state agencies necessary to do so. Transportation systems were set up, and three kinds of services were provided--route, demand response, and charter--both to eligible clients of participating agencies ... and to members of the general public ....
