This book is a compilation of generational family and friend recipes found after more than 20 years after my mothers passing.In August 2021, a month after my 25th high school reunion, I received a message from a childhood friend that someone from Dulles High School was trying to find me as she had something that was my mothers. After a few friends made connections for us, I talked with a former student of my mom's named Kim (the same as my sister). She shared that more than 20 years ago, my mother "hired" her to type up some of her handwritten recipes she had collected from family members over the years. Kim shared that she and my mom had many ties and stayed in touch for years, even after she graduated high school. Kim really connected with my mother. As crazy as it is, Kim never got around to typing them up and my mother passed away a few years later. Kim has kept the envelopes of recipes for over 20 years through several moves, life events, and personal challenges. She said she felt some comfort each time she came across them and felt compelled to return them to our family! After we connected, Kim sent me the folders which have finally been digitized!
