DISCOVER THE SECRET HEART OF ANY RELATIONSHIP We all know that relationships seem to have a life of their own. There is something that comes into being between people when they form a close association, something that makes each person act in ways that are unique to that particular combination. We call it chemistry, and it can be good or bad. But how can we put a finger on just what it is? Thanks to John Townley, there is a way. When he introduced the composite chart some twenty years ago, astrologers were given a key that unlocks the secret essence of any relationship. Now he presents the results of two decades of experience -- the definitive work on this powerful technique. You will learn: -- How to construct a composite chart -- How to synthesize natal, synastry, and composite charts -- Positive and negative planetary placements -- The effect of the composite ascendant -- Composite house placements and aspects -- How astrology is verified by current scientific thought Townley's fully developed interpretations of all the chart factors will provide a solid foundation for any astrologer who wants to shed light on one of the most popular (and most demanding) applications of astrology -- human relationships.

The Composite Minimum Brightness (CMB) chart is a computer product derived from digitized and rectified satellite video data. The minimum brightness values mapped over an area during a given period are composited and displayed as a means of suppressing transient cloudiness and enhancing major snow and ice features in the satellite imagery. Examples are presented, and limitations and verification of the technique are discussed.

A follow-up to Full spectrum Astrology, Hayden's Book of Synastry applies its "no holes in the chart" approach to the study of relationships-extending far beyond the relationship astrology you've been taught and into the realm of the satisfying, frustrating, and complex dynamics of exchanges between people. Discover the meaning behind all of those strange arrangements between yours and another's planets which traditional astrology has struggled to interpret. Learn what the dwarf planet of social pressure, the symbol of peerless talent, and the formula for great riches say about you. Learn the connection between spacetime, planetary orbits and the chemistry of your own body which drive you to form the relationships you do, and learn it for every major planet, angle, and house combination you can think of. With discussion and interpretations of regular, synastry, composite, and relative/Davison charts, this book is truly a must have for anyone studying astrology solo, for two, or even three people. Plus, with a huge collection of summary tables at the end, this book is an indispensable reference you'll return to time and again.

A person whose life drifts away from the 'blueprint' of his or her birthchart grows dull, flat and depressed. It is the same for a couple -- if their life together departs from the spirit of their composite chart, their relationship runs out of gas. They stop talking. Sex evaporates. They would rather watch TV than look into each others' eyes. In this book the Forrests give you all the tools you need to explore this powerful astrological technique -- theory, real-life practical examples, and an extensive 'cookbook' section where you can jump-start your interpretations by looking up the precise meaning of any configuration. In the first volume of 'Skymates' they showed us how to compare charts. Now , they take it a step further, proving that the whole is always greater than the sum of the parts.

A technique is described for preparing detailed sea surface temperature analyses for large ocean areas. These analyses utilize injection tempera ture observations taken by commercial ships. The inadequacies of analyses based on averaged data and some difficulties inherent in contouring scalar fields are discussed. Sea surface temperatures are interpreted according to some concepts derived from cross-sectional profiles and surface current data. Isotach analyses of mean current drift are considered as flow pat terns to aid temperature analysis in areas where data are sparse. (Author).
