The theory of analytic functions of several complex variables enjoyed a period of remarkable development in the middle part of the twentieth century. This title intends to provide an extensive introduction to the Oka-Cartan theory and some of its applications, and to the general theory of analytic spaces.

This book contains both expository articles and original research in the areas of function theory and operator theory. The contributions include extended versions of some of the lectures by invited speakers at the conference in honor of the memory of Serguei Shimorin at the Mittag-Leffler Institute in the summer of 2018. The book is intended for all researchers in the fields of function theory, operator theory and complex analysis in one or several variables. The expository articles reflecting the current status of several well-established and very dynamical areas of research will be accessible and useful to advanced graduate students and young researchers in pure and applied mathematics, and also to engineers and physicists using complex analysis methods in their investigations.

This book deals with some function spaces and classes of analytic and hyperbolic-type. We study two kinds of complex-valued function spaces as follows: First, we study general classes of functions the so called Q_{k, w}(p; q)- type classes. For these classes, we obtain: Characterizations in terms of Carleson measures. Characterizations by the help of Hadamard gap class. Some important inequalities related to these classes with some other classes of analytic functions. Moreover for these classes: We study Hadamard products defined by integral norms acting between functions belonging to these classes. Secondly, we apply some certain operators on function spaces and classes of hyperbolic-type. Further, we introduce some new weighted hyperbolic classes of functions. These classes are shown to be complete quasi-metric spaces with respect to the corresponding metrics. Moreover, necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the composition and superposition operator to be bounded and compac

The book introduces complex analysis as a natural extension of the calculus of real-valued functions. The mechanism for doing so is the extension theorem, which states that any real analytic function extends to an analytic function defined in a region of the complex plane. The connection to real functions and calculus is then natural. The introduction to analytic functions feels intuitive and their fundamental properties are covered quickly. As a result, the book allows a surprisingly large coverage of the classical analysis topics of analytic and meromorphic functions, harmonic functions, contour integrals and series representations, conformal maps, and the Dirichlet problem. It also introduces several more advanced notions, including the Riemann hypothesis and operator theory, in a manner accessible to undergraduates. The last chapter describes bounded linear operators on Hilbert and Banach spaces, including the spectral theory of compact operators, in a way that also provides an excellent review of important topics in linear algebra and provides a pathway to undergraduate research topics in analysis. The book allows flexible use in a single semester, full-year, or capstone course in complex analysis. Prerequisites can range from only multivariate calculus to a transition course or to linear algebra or real analysis. There are over one thousand exercises of a variety of types and levels. Every chapter contains an essay describing a part of the history of the subject and at least one connected collection of exercises that together comprise a project-level exploration.

An elementary account of many aspects of classical complex function theory, including Mobius transformations, elliptic functions, Riemann surfaces, Fuchsian groups and modular functions. The book is based on lectures given to advanced undergraduate students and is well suited as a textbook for a second course in complex function theory.
