The topics were selected as such in which it was thought that Theology as a unified system was capable of and might receive development and advance; or as touched practical questions of moment, and under discussion at the present day. The sixth lecture was delivered in the year 1889 before the "Summer School of Theology" at Sewanee, Tennessee, and has been printed in the "Magazine of Christian Literature" for November, 1890.
