Once a year, Cameron Carpenter visits his old friend and teammate Jonah Jackson, and the two read through a journal Cameron wrote in high school to cope with the death of his father. In a series of letters to his dad, young Cameron writes about moving with his mother back to her hometown of Eagle River, Washington, and his tumultuous freshman basketball season. In addition to struggling with fitting in, he and Jonah experience racial bigotry that splits the town and reveals Jonah's mysterious past. Cameron also meets Mandy, the love of his life, only to see her go through a traumatic experience that threatens to separate them forever. Will God's grace heal Cameron's pain? Will the team's exciting run through the state tournament bring the town together? Will Cameron learn what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ and be a champion in God's eyes? And in the end, will Cameron and Jonah's lifelong friendship see them through one final challenge?

True champions are made, not born. God builds champions and He wants to build you into the champion you were meant to be. Success is defined in today s culture mostly by monetary wealth. Leaders are defined by leading. But champions are in a class by themselves. They are not defined by money or followers, but by how they live and influence people in ways that glorify God and encourage and inspire others. Examining the lives of biblical and modern-day champions gives you the keys to becoming a champion through developing: · Stamina during challenges. · Winning character traits. · Integrity and trustworthiness. · Leadership qualities. · Solid moral values. Author and pastor Kenneth Ulmer offers guidance and advice in a world increasingly bereft of true champions. You will learn how to stay on track to becoming a true champion God s way, and not be tripped up as many self-described Christian leaders have been in recent years. Choose today to be a champion!

Job, Gods champion, offers experiential insight into the nature and workings of God. Job is not the main character of the book of Job; rather, it is God. The opening scene is in heaven, and Gods relationship with humanity is challenged. Jobs life becomes the arena of contention in this attack on God. As a result, Job loses family, wealth, and health. Job and his friends argue over Gods actions and mens experiences in the world. God clarifies that Job spoke what was right about Him. Here are a few important lessons from Jobs life: God wants a relationship with you. We need a mediator for our spiritual condition. God operates for His own glory. Suffering may be a part of Gods plan. Dont let the suffering temper your enthusiasm for the understanding offered by Gods champion. Jobs life illustrates a substantive spiritual relationship with the God of heaven. The more we know Him, the more we will value the relationship. Our relationship with Him facilitates our being made in His image. Learn to be a champion!

Once again, God continues to remind me that my life is a lifetime of untold stories that I must share with the world. It is God who inspires the stories for me to tell to the world. As God was preparing my mind to write this story, I personally had experience many of the things that I talk about in this book. There is one thing that I have accepted as I wrote this book, and that is, "For in God we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28). I'm just saying that God is the source of our very existence. This is why, I practice believing "that I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Phil. 4:13). I want you to know that what God does for one person, he can do the same for you. That is the purpose of this book: to give hope to those who are hopeless and helpless. I believe that we need to get to know ourselves because we don't know ourselves as well as we think we do. But I know someone who knows all of us better than we know ourselves (Jer. 1:5). Let me encourage and inspire someone that the one who knows you better that you know yourselves is Jesus. He also has your best interest at heart. I recommend that we consider submitting, and surrendering to him because he is the life that we've all been searching for (John 1:1–14).So it is, my brothers and my sisters, when you come to know who Jesus is, you will also come to know who you are. When God made you, he made the best you there is. So it is up to you not to lose hope nor your self-esteem, but you ought to continue your pursuit of being the best that you can be with God's help. Jesus gives this hope to all those who will believe and trust him. In John 10:10b, Jesus says, "I come that you have life, and have life more abundantly." My brothers and my sisters, it is my prayer that you be the best that you can be with the resources that God provides, for all of us. Every day that you wake up, it is another for improvement in your life. Please don't let life's opportunities pass you by, but start taking advantage of every opportunity that comes your way because life is too short to pass it up.Stop underestimating your worth. God said that everything that he made was good and very good that includes you and me, amen (Gen. 1:31).With much love, I send these pages of my life out into the world with the hope that someone's life will be the better. Also, I want to remind someone that their life also is a book, whether it's open are closed, it can be shared with the world. It's a wonderful thing to know that we reap what we sow. In other words, what goes around comes around. Amen. When we invest in others, we also invest in ourselves (Gal. 6:7–8).May God always bless and keep you.

This is the story of the Roman Emperor, Julian, a brave and courageous young man who began his life in a regal yet humble way. Descended from the blood of emperors, he was orphaned from the time of his youth and left to the devices of his tyrant cousin - A villain whose only desire in life was to first acquire and then to hold the power of Rome in his hands. To achieve this end he would stop at nothing - including murder. Julian was only a child when this man rose to power and he unfortunately found himself caught up in the man's contemptuous ways. Due to his cousin's devices, Julian spent his early years in confinement. As he grew older, the challenges became even greater until he finally had to take desperate measures in order to survive. For those that do not know the history of Julian, he was the last Pagan Emperor of Rome and nephew of Constantine the Great - The first Christian emperor.

Wow, my second book, and my first book is now in bookstores. This book ‘The Heart Of A Champion’ will start off with the most talked about men and women of the bible, who were all champions in their own right. Most of whom had sorted, less than perfect lives, some started out righteous then backslid, some started out as murderers, thieves, drunks, prostitutes, gamblers, then through God’s grace and forgiveness became some of the most righteous and well known followers of God and Jesus Christ. I will use these people of the bible first, depicting their lives, from good to bad, or bad to good, and how it now affects us in our present day lives. For the people of the bible could be considered our mentors from the past who through their own lives back then mold us to how we should be in our present day.

The anti-Catholic is one who thinks that Catholicism is not a Christian system of theology and that to be a good Christian and get saved, one must be a bad Catholic; that is, reject several tenets of Catholicism. James White (Reformed Baptist) is the leading and most influential anti-Catholic today. He specializes in debates, preferring moderated oral debates. I prefer written debate. This book features twelve back-and-forth debates with James White and also critiques or refutations of his writings. For those who agree with me that written, back-and-forth, substantive exchanges are worthy of the name "debate," this book will be a (hopefully helpful) close examination of the flawed theology of James White and his critiques of Catholicism. I'm happy, as always, to present both sides and let the reader judge. This is the beauty of dialogue. Readers may take in the arguments and data of both proponents in a dispute and exercise critical faculties in order to decide where the truth is to be found.
