In this book there’s a touch of everything. It’s got a murder mystery, some romance, and a hint of science fiction. Cecelia and Mr. Oliver book #1 revolves around a relationship between an employee and an employer that later becomes more than just work related but also a little romantic. Cecelia has hesitations about getting serious with her boss for fear of how it may affect their working relationship. Mr. Oliver however has had alternative motives ever since he hired her. The duet take on a case that they both believe is to help a friend of Mr. Oliver. While trying to solve the case of his missing friend Wilson, Mr. Oliver discovers a lab in which hybrid were wolves and dino-birds are being created. Throughout the story while trying to solve the case, Mr. Oliver and Cecelia also struggle with their feelings for each other. Cecelia and Mr. Oliver, the beginnings, book #1, lays down a foundation for its sequel which is still a working progress. Expect the sequel to have more of the science fiction in it. I hope you enjoy reading Cecelia and Mr. Oliver as much as I enjoyed writing it.

In World War I, 104 African American doctors joined the United States Army to care for the 40,000 men of the 92nd and 93rd Divisions, the Army's only black combat units. The infantry regiments of the 93rd arrived first and were turned over to the French to fill gaps in their decimated lines. The 92nd Division came later and fought alongside other American units. Some of those doctors rose to prominence; others died young or later succumbed to the economic and social challenges of the times. Beginning with their assignment to the Medical Officers Training Camp (Colored)--the only one in U.S. history--this book covers the early years, education and war experiences of these physicians, as well as their careers in the black communities of early 20th century America.
