From the New York Times bestselling author of Redeeming Love and The Masterpiece—and “one of [Christian fiction’s] most honored and talented writers” (Library Journal)—comes a heart-wrenching but uplifting story about a highly controversial topic. Dynah Carey knew where her life was headed. Engaged to a wonderful man, the daughter of doting parents, a faithful child of God—she has it all. Then the unthinkable happens: Dynah’s perfect life is irrevocably changed by a rape that results in an unwanted pregnancy. Her family is torn apart and her seemingly rock-solid faith is pushed to the limits as she faces the most momentous choice of her life: to embrace or to end the life within her. This is ultimately a tale of three women, as Dynah’s plight forces both her mother and her grandmother to confront the choices they made. Written with balance and compassion, The Atonement Child brings a new perspective to a widely debated topic.

I attended college two years to become a teacher, but I changed to become a nurse. I am a retired nurse. In 2007, four years before I retired, I began again to work on publishing my book A GUIDE TO ENGLISH GRAMMAR, congugation of commonly used verbs. I would work on my book one of my two days off from work. After I retired I would work up to eight hours a day, six days a week. When I was sure my material was in the order to be published, I searched for a publisher until I found Xlibris. Xlibris seemed to be the perfect publisher. Because I am now writing my author dedication page, means that I have continued to trust Xlibris. I want to thank everyone at Xlibris who has worked on my book for all of their patience and diligent work on my books.

Filmed on location in the U.K., the story of Atonement spans several decades. In 1935, 13-year-old fledgling writer Briony Tallis (Saoirse Ronan) and her family live a life of wealth and privilege in their enormous mansion. On the warmest day of the year, the country estate takes on an unsettling hothouse atmosphere, stoking Briony's vivid imagination. Robbie Turner (James McAvoy), the educated son of the family's housekeeper, carries a torch for Briony's headstrong older sister Cecilia (Keira Knightley). Cecilia, he hopes, has comparable feelings; all it will take is one spark for this relationship to combust. When it does, Briony—who has a crush on Robbie— is compelled to interfere, going so far as accusing Robbie of a crime he did not commit. Cecilia and Robbie declare their love for each other, but he is arrested—and with Briony bearing false witness, the course of three lives is changed forever. Briony continues to seek forgiveness for her childhood misdeed. Through a terrible and courageous act of imagination, she finds the path to her uncertain atonement, and to an understanding of the power of enduring love. In addition to the complete script, this Newmarket Shooting Script® book includes an exclusive introduction by screenwriter ChristopherHampton, a color photo section, and the complete cast and crew credits.

And when a dying man named Randal falls out of a bullet-riddled car and dies in Loren’s arm, Loren finds he isn’t the only man living in the wrong time--- because he remembers pulling Randal’s dead body out of a wrecked car twenty years before. He knows the car belongs to a scientist who works at the high-security laboratory built on the outskirts of town, and he knows that if he doesn’t work fast, all evidence of a crime will disappear into national security vaults. In order to bring justice back to his community, Loren will have to risk everything, his life, his job, his faith, and his family. The Chicago Sun-Times said, "This is a novel that works marvelously on a variety of levels--- as an adventure story, a trek through personal entanglements, a study in detailed police techniques and an elightening lesson in theoretical science. And if that isn't enough, it also offers a totally unexpected ending.

Londyn Bennett entered my world like a hurricane. One I was grossly unprepared for. But in the short time we’ve known each other, she’s opened my eyes to things I never expected. She taught me about acceptance. Compassion. Love. Because of her, I’ve also been forced to learn about prejudice. Cruelty. Hate. We may come from two different worlds, but the second we met, our hearts beat as one, nothing able to sever our connection. Or so I thought. When the bubble we’ve been living in bursts, will our love be strong enough to weather the gale-force winds threatening to upend everything? Or is hate too powerful to overcome? A wise person once told me that the right path isn’t always the easy one. I never realized just how treacherous the right path could be.
