La presente monografía ofrece un análisis del envejecimiento desde la perspectiva del individuo mayor que envejece en casa, a través del conocimiento de las condiciones y de la calidad de vida de esta población. Desde la multidimensionalidad del hecho de envejecer, y bajo un enfoque que considera además de los aspectos normativos también los perceptuales de las condiciones y calidad de vida, esta obra permite conocer las necesidades de la población según envejece y afrontar políticas de acción para mantener al mayor en su entorno habitual de residencia, como expresión de su forma ideal de envejecer, alojarse, relacionarse, participar y compartir.
