"Broken to Restore" is a book designed for anyone: men, women, adults, young people, teenagers and the elderly. In life we go through many stages, but we come to certain moments that we particularly feel we broke; we feel completely broken. That's when we need to understand that we're still vessels in the hands of the potter par excellence and being there we're restored. This process is allowed in your life to be perfected, but above all so that you can help restore those around you. This is like pearls; these are formed in a very particular way. Pearl is the product of pain, the result of the entry of a foreign or undesirable substance into the oyster, such as a parasite or a grain of sand. The inside of an oyster shell contains a lustrous substance called mother-of-pearl. When a grain of sand penetrates, mother-of-pearl cells begin to work and cover the grain of sand with layers and more layers to protect the helpless body of the oyster. As a result, the cute pearl is formed. An oyster that has not been injured, in some way, does not produce pearls, because the pearl is a scared wound. You and I cannot avoid being hurt in some way, but we can choose what to do with those wounds. My desire is that you turn each wound into something as valuable as a pearl... or even more. As you progress through this book you will understand four points that God taught me strongly away from my country, and therefore away from my comfort zone, and that will help you whether you are a recent Christian, a veteran or you are not.

This book will have a wide range of interested readers. It has a strong God-faith based element for Christian bookstores, as well as the Amish community. It has a story line that will appeal to all ages and is written in an easy to understand format for young readers as well. Many will relate to the traumatic auto accident while others empathize with the abusive background of the author. There will be those who have wronged others and seek forgiveness, and still others who have been wronged needing to forgive. The life lessons in this simple book far outreach what any of us can really foresee. Medical professionals will relate to the organized chaos of the trauma unit. Parents, grandparents, and children can all put themselves in the place of one losing a family member. People everywhere in every walk of life think “That could’ve been me” in many of the scenarios occurring in this book making it extremely relatable to everyone. The uplifting ending leaves its readers on an emotional high wishing to read it again and again.

It was not until Jill finally decided to write this book, that the whole of the story was really told. She was shocked at what God had to say to her and the total healing experience that she received while writing. Jill learned that she had been kidnapped. She was in a fierce battle with the enemy of our souls; and did not even know she had enlisted. Jesus showed her how wonderfully He had been right by her side, holding her hands through it all. He allowed her to see that He had to let some of the heartache become a part of her growth until she was fully ready to receive His gift of restoration. That is when the light came on and she really could see the story that she had lived through. Now, she could write. She recognized that she had great worth in the eyes of Christ, and was a priceless jewel. She became angry with the enemy for the attempts he had on her life and how he had caused her to lose 30 years of her life during her fight for survival, while missing so many of God's blessings. Jill is inspired by the relentless love that she was shown from Jesus and how he stopped at nothing to save her, obviously, because of His love for her; and because she has a work to do for you and others. She is determined to prevent people from being blind-sighted like she was, but to realize there is a spiritual battle for life or death. The writing bug has bitten and Jill looks forward to writing more books designed to inspire hope and change. Jill enjoys long walks, road trips; cooking for friends and family; socials and sports. She works in public service as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and a Realtor.

This book describes lived experience of a woman who finds herself lost in the web of lies and false pretenses and the more she tries to break free, the deeper she finds herself sinking. Struggling with the complexities of life, the failures, the fears, the wilderness experiences, and the lies, she challenges life and God Himself, and asks her questions, that if she was the apple of His eye as He said in His word then why He allowed such trials in her life? How could she bury her child, and then go on living her life as if nothing mattered? Some storms in life come and sweep everything away but they also become cornerstones that push us to our destiny and bring out resilience and determination in us to continue the journey at any cost. We become survivors who hold the light for others that are coming.
