When Janie Robinson says “I do,” she might as well call the morgue. Two days after her wedding, David died in a car accident. The day after she accepted his proposal, Justin fell to his death at work. The day after she agreed to move in, Aaron died in a freakish drone accident. Now Sam wants to date her because she’s some kind of Perfect Mate. If she’s perfectly anything, she’s perfectly cursed and she’s not about to risk Sam’s life. Sam Kincaid is a vampire. He has been searching for Janie since the day he let her go. Her so-called curse doesn’t bother him until he becomes the killer’s next target. He’s never feared for his life before, but if he lets her go again, it wouldn’t be worth living.

I came to London to kill vampires... ...I failed. I woke up in my apartment days after our failed mission, alone and near death. Well, alone apart from the Vampire King who has been in my head since he bit me that night. I don't know how our minds became linked or how I survived that night when the rest of my team did not, but I've been in hiding ever since. I think it's fair to say my life has gone to shit. What's left of it, anyway. I don’t know where he is, but I can sense him within me, and I know the only thing he hates more than the werewolves that plague his city... is me. My life now revolves around two things: staying alive and pissing off the bloodsucker in my head. And the only thing that drives him crazier than drinking myself unconscious? Sleeping with the enemy.

Don’t go into the woods. Sixteen-year-old Anna Lambert knows that the woods near her new home aren’t safe. She’s seen the wolves that stalk through that dark forest, but Anna doesn’t scare easily. Anna is cursed–or gifted, depending on how you look at it–with the ability to find anyone or anything that is lost. So when folks start disappearing in the small town of Haven, Anna’s father, the sheriff, has to use her special skills as they begin to hunt for a killer. But the killer isn’t exactly human. As Anna is pulled deeper into the secrets of Haven–a town that is truly cursed–she finds herself falling for two, equally mysterious boys. With the danger closing in, one of those boys may just turn out to be her savior. And the other? He could be a very big, very bad…beast. Beware of beasts…and boys…with bite. Author’s Note: THE BETTER TO BITE is a young adult paranormal romance containing 64,000 words. The story contains werewolves, murders, and a teen on the hunt for one seriously bloodthirsty killer. How do you define right and wrong? Opinions vary. Detailed definitions of right and wrong have become as diverse as the people who hold them. People are even avoiding concrete terms in favor of more popular and vague generalities (Be as good as you can. Love everybody. Don't hurt anybody.). This is a rampant problem in our morally relativistic culture in which morality and immorality are personal preferences. Are we headed for a point when even talking about a definition of right and wrong is a mute point, because we can sum up the dominant view as "do whatever you want"? The bottom line is that most people's total view of right and wrong does not line up with the biblical revelation of right and wrong from God's perspective. One Wrong Bite takes us back to the fountainhead of humanity in the Garden of Eden, where the first sin was committed, to see what wrong really is and where human evil really began. By God's revelation to us, we can understand where we went wrong with Him, and then move on to understand how we can really get right with Him. By His grace, we see that what we really gain infinitely outweighs what we really need to give up. In short, One Wrong Bite is about getting people back to a concrete standard of right and wrong, as defined and revealed by God, in order to know why we need a Savior and how to live once we are saved, for all of God's glory and eternal best. Bela lives in southeastern Oklahoma with his wife, three children, and one grandson. He pastors a Southern Baptist church. He is a repentant connoisseur of forbidden fruit and thankful that the Lord has put him on the right spiritual nutrition plan.
