Whitaker’s Millionaire Wives Club are back for a second season of backstabbing, divorce parties, and family sagas. Lights, camera, action! Milan, Jaise, and Chaunci are the gorgeous, high-rolling divas starring in the hit reality show Millionaire Wives Club. As they struggle with love, lies, lust, and the pressures of sudden fame, their friendships turn into catfights that keep the cameras following all their malicious moves. Milan is finally engaged to Kendu, the man of her dreams, and though things look perfect on the outside, distrust and jealousy are crumbling their romance. Jaise has found the love she so desperately craves, but her son, Jabril, remains the No. 1 man in her life—for better or for worse. And Chaunci, the independent, single mom who doesn’t feel she needs a man, is contemplating taking the plunge into a deep love affair—but will the man she chooses have room in his life for her? Add to this crafty cast Vera, a venomous new vixen who plays the game better than any of them, and you’ve got a season even more scintillating than the last.

If you've ever been on a coach tour anywhere in the world, visited India or intend doing so, read this! You'll be fascinated to join Stella and her tour group as they're beguiled and polarised by a charismatic guide, who wizard-like, tantalises them with his enthralling anecdotes. The crescendos of his tales are counterpointed by tensions and conflicts among the tourists; the interplay of their relationships develops as they bowl along the roads of India in their air-conditioned coach. Stella, the wry narrator, is unwillingly fascinated; others in the group find love or loss.

The Mughal Dynasty dominated India for three centuries, rivalling the greatest rulers of Europe and the East in its power and splendour. Under such enlightened rulers as Akbar the Great in the 16th century and Jahangir and Shah Jahan in the 17th century, this vast Muslim Empire covered an area from the Kashmir and Afghanistan in the north and west to the Deccan in the south at its height. The English East India Company set up its operations in India after being granted a Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth I in 1600 and it developed into an organisation powerful enough to raise its own army and conquer more and more territory. This book focuses on the key events from the reign of the Emperor Shah Jahan, who masterminded the creation of the Taj Mahal between 1631 and 1653, through to the final demise of the Mughal Dynasty and the rise and ultimate takeover by the British in 1858, marking the beginning of the Raj, which would rule over India until 1947.Interspersed throughout the book are short sections in italics that describe other relevant major world events happening at that time to give some context with what was happening in India.
