Deep ruby glass dinnerware has attracted many collectors and Avon's Cape Cod is one of the most beautiful of the patterns. The design, based on an old Sandwich Glass pattern, was introduced in 1975. This was Avon Product's first venture into a dinnerware line and, because it was well received, Avon continued to make more items until the pattern was discontinued in 1993. In all, 37 different pieces were produced. This guide has over 130 color photographs that beautifully display all the pieces known. The text includes the date when each design was approved, the name of the designer, and the number of moulds used. The original mould drawings are reproduced here because they contain additional identifying information. Also included are the boxed prices and values for other Avon products that were sold with some Cape Cod pieces. Prices for all the pieces are included in the captions. This is the first book to appear about the beautiful Avon 1876 Cape Cod Collection pattern. It will become a most valuable guide for all enthusiasts of ruby glass dinnerware.

After a lifetime of failed relationships, non-binary history professor Sam Bell is committed to a new (non)romantic strategy: Thirst Only. It's the actual drinking where things get too complicated, where Sam inevitably gets hurt. Sam is good at being thirsty, though, especially when it's karaoke night at The Moonlight Cafe, otherwise known as Moonie's to its largely queer regulars. Moonie's is fun. Comfortable. Safe. Except for tonight, when one by one, all of Sam's friends abandon them. Disappointed, they prepare to leave. Until their #1 karaoke crush catches their eye... For Lily Fischer, karaoke at Moonie's is the only time she can step outside of her quiet shell. When there's a mic in her hand, she's no longer merely a receptionist harboring big dreams. At Moonie's, Lily can pretend to be someone else: someone bold, who takes what she wants. And tonight, what Lily wants is the way Sam looks at her across the room as she sings her signature opening song, like they see her exactly as she wants to be seen. Like Moonie's Lily is real. As the night progresses, both Sam's and Lily's personal boundaries are tested, and the real world outside of Moonie's looms. But maybe sometimes, the real world should be a little more like karaoke. It's not always about knowing all the right words or having the perfect voice. Maybe all Sam and Lily need is a little courage to pick up the mic, and sing anyway.

The first cookbook featuring classic Cajun recipes—from Red Beans and Rice to Catfish Courtbouillon—from the comedian and PBS cooking series host. Justin Wilson took a culture slur and made it a label of distinction. He proudly identified himself, and his cooking, as “Cajun.” His experiences as a safety engineer were the catalyst of his transformation into one of the most familiar Cajun personalities of the last century. “I started interspersing my safety talks with Cajun humor. And what do you know? My audiences stayed awake!” They did a lot more than stay awake. They chuckled, they laughed, they roared—and they learned their safety lessons! For decades, Wilson was in heavy demand on television and in person. He recorded four albums, one of which—The Humorous World of Justin Wilson—broke all album sales records in Texas at the time. His first cookbook, published in 1965, still stands as a masterpiece of Cajun cooking and of culinary expertise in general. Unique, entertaining, and authentic, his original Cajun recipes include everything from the perfect roux to Eggplant Appetizer a la Justin, Red Bean Soup, Okra Gumbo, Venison Roast, and Dirty Rice. Wilson’s collection of Cajun recipes (and humor) will set your imagination on the right track, “I garontee.”
