The Council has three primary tasks: to review government policies & programs relating to the environment and report findings & recommendations to the Minister of Environment; to bring to the Minister's attention problem areas which require government attention; and to examine & provide advice on public involvement in any program of the government relating to the environment. This report reviews Council activities during the year in relation to reviews of government programs, citizen concerns, and liaison activities.
