The amount to be. Raised to bal ance the Budget-is 08. -while this is less than was raised last year at Town Meeting it has been more than offset by the needs of the Woodsville School Dist. North Haverhill Lighting Dist. And Haverhill School Dist. To the extent that based on last year's valuation the rate will be higher than that of last year which averaged throughout the town Town Mainten ance funds are divided as follows: 47 per cent to Woodsville and 53 per cent to the town.' The Indebtedness of the Town is 69 less than last year. Bonded indebtedness is Tem morarynotes amount to 20. Taxes due the town amount to 65 Which if paid would retire temporary notes in full. Taxes were paid better dur ing 1937 and we recommend that the Selectmen for the year 1938 abate interest charges on back taxes to 7 instead of 670 now charged and as soon as possible increase rate to the 10% required by law.
