In the course of this investigation, all the worked clay deposits of the State were examined, samples collected, factories visited and a detailed map of the Woodbridge clay district partly prepared. Many undeveloped clay properties were also prospected. In this work the detailed information collected by Mr. Knapp, in his work upon the surface deposits, was of great assistance.
