Comparisons with several foreign national laboratories indicate that the bureau's value of the international volt is 20 micro Volts below that of England and 60 microvolts above that of Ger many. Experiments with the silver voltameter in which the bureau is cooperating through a representative now in Berlin, were begun in Germany in May and will be continued in England and France in the effort to reduce these discrepancies. Measurements with the rosa-dorsey-miller current balance showed that 1 international ampere (bureau of Standards) absolute ampere.
