Excerpt from Annals of Archaeology and Anthropology, 1908, Vol. 3 As most of the pottery connected with the megalithic monuments of Malta is found in a fragmentary condition, no notice thereof was taken by the late Dr. A. Excerpt from Annals of Archaeology and Anthropology, Vol. 1: Issued by the Institute of Archaeology The third scene (pl. V, top) represents two Hittite figures, in characteristic short tunic. The head-dress of these two is clearly the same as that of the great god of the Hittites as represented both in the great and small galleries at yazili-kaya. The design suggests metal work, and the same remark seems to apply to the baton, or whatever the object may be, which is carried over the right shoulder of the rear figure. The fourth stone (pl. V, bottom) seems to be inverted, and to show the hands of the fire-god among flames or lightning. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
