Bullies are everywhere, and as an employee, many of us have experienced a BU-VID 20 pandemic (BU--bullies, VID--infested, 20--for at least the last twenty years) in many areas of our careers. Bullying is not just in nursing but all avenues of employment where employees may experience bullying with no recourse to stop the bully. This is in only places of employment that do not enforce anti-bullying behavior, and policy and procedures are not enforced although recommended. Why? Because there are no state or federal regulations that make this behavior unacceptable in an place of employment, therefore, not enforceable to stop the behavior. Bosses can be jerks all they want, nothing happens to stop the behavior, and employees leave their job because of this.

Hola, Cuties! I’m Jacinda Gonzalez, almost twelve. Although I think I’m pretty nice, not to mention way cool and one of the most knowledgeable people in all things horse, I just can’t make any friends in my new school. The only things flying my way are totally rude insults. The horseback riding therapy farm where I volunteer becomes my perfect escape from mean bullies. And when Angel, a scrawny, muddy American Curly, shows up as rescue, no one but me can see her potential and lovableness, so I take her on as a project horse to get her ready for sale. But, the thing is, I don’t want them to sell her. She’d be so perfect for therapy. So perfect. Now, if only I could prove it. Anyway, Angel’s sugar-candy personality inspires me to be sweet in spite of bad things happening to me. So, of course, I can’t resist the urge to make the world a whole lot brighter. Come on in and see how I do it! Middle Grade, Children's book, ages 6-8, 10-12, and up. A clean, cute, touching story for any lover of horses. American Curly Horse. Forced to take me in, my estranged aunt and uncle shipped me off to Raven River Academy the first chance they got. In my town, the line between the haves and the have-nots is actually a twelve-foot gate that keep the unwanted where they belong. Nothing could unite the two factions until I set foot on campus. For the first time in our history, they all agree on one thing: I must pay for my father's sins. But why should I care? The joke is on them because I have nothing left inside. No part of me that isn't already broken. I invite them to do their worst. Until The Angels enter the game. The most dangerous gang in town has a score to settle with my family, and Cassius, Clay, Hiro, and Royal are here to collect. Does the Woman of My Dreams exist? This is the question that I am asking the universe as I write my second book. I doubted the existence of the woman of my dreams when I started to write my second book. I doubted her existence because of how cruel the rest of the world could be to someone with social anxiety. I thought my years of being bullied were over before the writing of my second book. Then the bullying started all over again after I was somehow able to find the courage to let one of my angels know how I felt about her. This vilification led me into another pit of darkness. It had me believing it was wrong to love beautiful women. Yet my love for beautiful women was also the only thing to keep me alive.
