Excerpt from Crop Values: Season Average Prices Received by Farmers and Value of Production, 1965 and 1966, by States Estimated season average prices and value of production for all major farm crops and for many minor crops are presented in this report. The season average prices are estimates of the average prices received by producers fer that part of the crop that is sold. Price estimates for the 1966 crops are based on sales through movember with an allowance for marketings for the remainder of the season. These prices are applied to the production estimates excluding economic abandonment presented in Crop Production-l966 Annual Summary to compute the value of production for each State.
