This volume is a compilation of more than half of the papers presented at the 10th Annual Meeting of The Adhesion Society, Inc., in Williamsburg, Virginia, U.S.A., February 23-27, 1987. The proceedings were originally published in regular issues of The Journal of Adhesion. The meeting was a highly successful international one, attended by some 350 people.
