Chreston (Christian) Sorensen was born in Denmark in 1835. He met Christena Jensen about the time they met the missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They joined the Church, married and soon joined the saints in Utah in 1859. They settled with other Scandavians in central Utah. Christena soon sent for her younger sister Willerena who became Christian's second wife. Together they were the parents of Christian's seventeen children. Biographies of Christian, his wives, children, grandchildren, and many of his other descendants are included in this volume. Most have remained in the western states and continue to be active in the Church of Jesus Christs of Latter-day Saints.
