"In this example of land use planning, land use controls have been prepared tailored to meet the needs of the unincorporated areas within the county. Special attention is given to solution of land use problems identified in the Studies Report and Proposed Water and Sewer Plans. Suggestions for zoning within the city are coordinated with zoning recommendations for the county and for the larger planning region. Specific districts within the county are established for residential, commercial, industrial, and special uses such as historic areas and flood plains. In addition, recommendations are made which would permit effective administration of zoning regulations.
