What is in a name? Does your name have a meaning? Can you pronounce your name in different ways? Why is it important that we know the name of our God? As I have traveled all across America, I visit with people who have various needs in life. Quite frankly, when someone shares a need with me, I find myself quickly responding with..."No sweat, God can handle it!" In truth - I have absolutely no problem trusting God... in someone else's life. My problem is when I have a need and I must trust God to come through when I'm at my point of desperation. Ever been there? I'm sure you have. One day, as I was reading Psalm 9:10 - like a bolt of lightning - I said, "That's it! That's the reason why so many of God's people (including myself) have so much trouble in really trusting God is because they really don't know Who this God really is." The Bible says in this verse, "And they that know thy name shall put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." As I began to research the names of God...I began to see the ways that He has revealed Himself, not just as God, but by names that are very personal and practical for His children to experience victory in everyday living as they trust in Him. So what's in a name? When it relates to God... everything! It is my prayer that this book will introduce you to the nature and character of our God in heaven who loves us with an everlasting love. I believe that you will discover that He is not just God in heaven, but a very compassionate and caring heavenly Father who desires to meet every need that you will ever have if you will learn about the God in whom you trust. Believe me...it will make life a lot easier when you know the One who sits on the throne and controls the whole world ...including your world as well.

Matthew Acciaccatura of Teaneck, New Jersey, begins his freshman year at NYU in the fall of 1995 with one goal in mind: to become cool. A former high school outcast, used to lumbering the hallways alone in oversize turtlenecks, Matt seems an unlikely candidate for such a transformation. Yet by dint of effort he lands the coveted position of promoter at one of the hottest clubs in New York in the heyday of rave music and Ecstasy. However, as “Magic” Matt rises to fame, portents of tragedy begin to appear, literally in the margins of the story. Footnotes from one Dr. Hans Mannheim, an imprisoned German academic obsessed with Matt’s dangerous trajectory, suggest that Matt is not as in control of his destiny as he might appear…. A gorgeously written archetypal tale of self-discovery (and self-deception) and a love letter to the enduring possibilities of New York City, The Answer Is Always Yes will keep readers guessing until its explosive climax.

After Bobby Byington's unforgettable winning high school season, Coach Robison recruits Choctaw players from several communities to play in a summer league. Coach selects the Panther as the team's mascot, saying, "To many Choctaws, young and old, the panther is an elder watching over us, helping us when we are in need." As the team gels and they move to the national tournament, they find out they are up against more than other basketball teams. They must deal with racist taunts and unsportsmanlike conduct on the court. The situation comes to a head when, on the eve of a key game against a bullying opponent, two Choctaw players are arrested for robbery. Never doubting their innocence, Coach Robison asks, "Who can we trust, and how can we find the truth?"
