Andrew Hoover (Andreas Huber), 1723-1784, immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1738, and married Margaret Pfautze about 1745. They had thirteen children, ca. 1746-1773. Andrew and Margaret Hoover migrated to Carroll County, Maryland, in 1746, and with their family migrated to Randolph County, North Carolina, ca. 1772. Descendants listed lived in North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and elsewhere.
