Michael Shultz (ca. 1750-1804), a Revolutionary War soldier, was born in Dutchess County, New York, perhaps the son of John Shultz. He married three times and was the father of thirteen children. The family moved to Bedford County, Pennsylvania, ca. 1785. The area where they lived became Somerset County in 1792. He died in Socerset County, Pennsylvania. Descendants listed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas and elsewhere.
