12 Dreams is the story of a "clean" comedian named Sal who asks God a simple question. God responds with a series of dreams that shake Sal's world. He struggles to find his footing as the dreams impact the world around him and place him in uncomfortable (and dangerous) situations. As Sal continues on this new walk with God, he finds new friends and a deadly new enemy.

An exploration of love, loss, and fate, this play was inspired by an actual case history recorded by Carl Jung. In the play, Emma presents a booklet of her dreams to her psychiatrist father, Charles Hatrick, for Christmas. Still mourning his wife's death, Emma's father is confounded by her dreams and shares the booklet with his mentor, the Professor, who is visiting from abroad. The structure of the play sets Emma's daily life against a re-creation of her dreams, in which key roles are played by Emma's governess, her best friend, a rich neurotic her father is treating, her ballet teacher, and a young protege of her father. The disturbing dreams are described by the Professor as those of an older person facing death. Eventually, we learn that Emma is in fact fatally ill.

In this "thriller with literary merit" (Time Out New York), a stunning narrative combines the gritty rhythms of Junot Diaz with the noir genius of Walter Mosley. Bodega Dreams pulls us into Spanish Harlem, where the word is out: Willie Bodega is king. Need college tuition for your daughter? Start-up funds for your fruit stand? Bodega can help. He gives everyone a leg up, in exchange only for loyalty—and a steady income from the drugs he pushes. Lyrical, inspired, and darkly funny, this powerful debut novel brilliantly evokes the trial of Chino, a smart, promising young man to whom Bodega turns for a favor. Chino is drawn to Bodega's street-smart idealism, but soon finds himself over his head, navigating an underworld of switchblade tempers, turncoat morality, and murder. "Bodega is a fascinating character. . . . The story [Quiñonez] tells has energy and verve." —The New York Times Book Review

Now, popular psychic and medium Linda Shields has updated this classic, featuring revisions and additions to more than 2,000 of his original interpretations as well as 2,000 entirely new entries. This brings the book up to speed with our modern life, including objects unknown in Miller’s time, such as cell phones, computers, televisions, and more. This two-volume set examines dreams and dreaming from a variety of angles—biological, psychological, and sociocultural—in order to provide readers with a holistic introduction to this fascinating subject. Whether good or bad and whether we remember them or not, each night every one of us dreams. But what biological or psychological function do dreams serve? What do these vivid images and strange storylines mean? How have psychologists, religions, and society at large interpreted dreams, and how can a closer examination of our dreams provide useful insights? Dreams: Understanding Biology, Psychology, and Culture presents a holistic view of dreams and the dreaming experience that answers these and many other questions. Divided thematically, this two-volume book examines the complex and often misunderstood subject of dreaming through a variety of lenses. This collection is written by a large and diverse team of experts and edited by leading members of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) but remains an approachable and accessible introduction to this captivating topic for all readers.
